List of “Dadasaheb Phalke Award” Winners From the year 1969 Till Date
This award was initiated for recalling and remembering Mr . Dadasaheb Phalke (1870-1944).
He is also known as ‘The Father of Indian Cinema’ , the pioneer who produced and directed the first full length Indian Feature Film, ‘Raja Harishchandra’ in the year 1913.
This is a cash award of Rs 10 Lakhs(US $ 16000/-) and a Swarna Kamal/Golden Lotus Medal.
